At WearFlags, your satisfaction is our priority. We want you to love everything you purchase from us. If for any reason you are not completely happy with your order, we are here to help. This policy sets out your rights and our procedures for returns, refunds, and exchanges, and is designed in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
1. Return Window
You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return. This applies to all items unless otherwise stated in the non-returnable items section below. We are pleased to offer this return window in alignment with your statutory rights under UK consumer law. To be eligible for a return, items must be in their original unused and unwashed condition, with all original tags and labels attached, and in their original or equivalent packaging. Items that have been worn, washed, damaged, or altered will not be accepted for return.
2. How to Request a Return
All returns must be authorised by our team before you send any item back. To initiate a return, please contact us at support@wearflagsofficial.com within your 30-day return window. In your message, please include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and your reason for the return. Our team will acknowledge your request within 24 hours and provide you with a return authorisation and instructions on how to send your items back. Returns sent without prior authorisation may not be processed and could be returned to the sender without a refund. We strongly recommend sending your return via a tracked postal service, as we cannot be responsible for parcels lost in transit.
3. Return Shipping Costs
The responsibility for return shipping costs depends on the reason for your return. If you are returning an item because it is faulty, damaged, or not as described, WearFlags will cover the cost of return shipping and will provide you with a prepaid return label or reimburse your postage costs upon receipt of proof. If you are returning an item simply because you have changed your mind (a 'buyer's remorse' return), the cost of return postage is your responsibility. In all cases, we recommend using a tracked service. Please note that original outbound shipping costs are non-refundable, except where the return is due to an error on our part.
4. Damaged or Defective Items
We take pride in the quality of our products and inspect all orders before dispatch. However, if you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect, we sincerely apologise and want to resolve this for you as quickly as possible. Please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order at support@wearflagsofficial.com, and include clear photographs of the damage or defect, as well as your order number. Based on your preference and stock availability, we will offer you either a free replacement or a full refund. You will not be required to return the item at your own expense in these cases. This is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
5. Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund within 5 to 10 business days. Refunds are always issued to the original payment method used at checkout. You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed. Please allow an additional 3 to 5 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer. We do not issue refunds in the form of store credit unless explicitly requested by you.
6. Exchanges
We are happy to assist with exchanges for a different size or colour, subject to availability. To request an exchange, please follow the same process as for a return — contact us at support@wearflagsofficial.com with your order number and the details of the item you would like to exchange for. Our team will confirm availability and guide you through the process. If the item you want is no longer available, we will process a full refund instead.
7. Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene and quality assurance reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty: items that have been worn, washed, or altered; items without their original tags or labels; items that have been personalised or customised; and any items explicitly marked as final sale or non-returnable at the time of purchase. If you are unsure whether an item qualifies for return, please contact us before sending anything back.
8. Late or Missing Refunds
If you have not received your refund within 10 business days of our confirmation email, please first check your bank account and your payment method's processing status. Some financial institutions take a few extra days to post the refund. If you have done this and still have not received your funds, please contact us at support@wearflagsofficial.com and we will investigate the matter urgently. We are committed to ensuring all refunds are completed promptly and correctly.
